Looking to help fleet owners get the strongest return on their tire investment and boost their bottom lines, Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) has launched a new, dedicated commercial tire website.

Yokohama giving away vacation, iPads at MATS

Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) attendees will have a chance to win prizes – including a $5,000 vacation giveaway and iPad Air tablets – at Yokohama Tire Corp.’s newly designed booth (No. 14124) March 26-28 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky.

The biggest change in the truck tire market over the past five year has been "the continued chase of more fuel-efficient products and trying to reduce greenhouse gases," according to YTC's Rick Phillips.

Commercial market is on a roll, says YTC's Phillips

"Thanks to a surging economy, the commercial tire market is on a roll," says Rick Phillips, vice president of sales for Yokohama Tire Corp. "With a new commercial tire plant opening in Mississippi in October, YTC is poised to increase market share."

Fred Koplin was promoted to senior director of consumer sales on April 1.

Yokohama restructures sales organization

Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) continues to reorganize. After naming a new CEO and giving added responsibilities to its COO, the company announced a number of promotions in its sales organization.
