Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. announced changes in its senior management team at the June 25, 2014, board of directors meeting. The changes will be effective as of July 1, 2014.
Changes in corporate responsibilities
* Yasushi Kikuchi: managing corporate officer, head of the Tire Materials Development Division, and head of the R&D Center (was managing corporate officer, head of the Tire Technical Development Division and head of the R&D Center).
* Hirohisa Hazama: corporate officer, chief quality assurance officer (was corporate officer, chief quality assurance officer and head of the Industrial Products Quality Assurance Division).
* Masataka Yamaishi: corporate officer, acting head of the Corporate Planning Division, assistant to the head of the Tire Business Planning Division, head of the Corporate Planning Department and President of Acty Corp. (was corporate officer, acting head of the Corporate Planning Div., head of the Corporate Planning Dept. and president of Acty Corp.).
New corporate officers
* Kazuya Nakazawa: corporate officer and president of Yokohama Industrial Products Japan Co. Ltd. (was associate corporate officer and president of the Yokohama Industrial Products Japan Co.).
* Koichi Tsuruno: corporate officer, president of Yokohama Tire Manufacturing (Thailand) Co. Ltd. and president of Yokohama Asia Co. Ltd. (was associate corporate officer, president of Yokohama Tire Manufacturing (Thailand) Co. and president of Yokohama Asia Co., Ltd.)
Yokohama Rubber posted net income of 6.5 billion yen on net sales of 139.9 billion yen for its first quarter ended March 31, 2014.
