Alliance Tire Americas supports young farmers

June 30, 2014

Alliance Tire Americas presented a check for $500 to the Tomah High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) in Tomah, Wis., last week in conjunction with the company’s three-year sponsorship of the National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA).

Visitor participation was key to Alliance’s charitable effort, and was centered at the company’s trailer at the Budweiser Dairyland Super National Truck and Tractor Pull in Tomah. Every participant in the Alliance “Spin and Win” promotion increased Alliance’s contribution to the local FFA; the company pitched in an additional donation for each photo posted from the pull to #alliancetirepulls.

Nelda Bailey, Tomah High School FFA advisor, said, “The Tomah FFA really appreciates Alliance Tire supporting our FFA members with this donation. We will be using the donation to help support events for the members throughout the year such as speaking contests, conventions and leadership workshops.”

Bruce Besancon, vice president for marketing of Alliance Tire Americas, says the company is strongly committed to leadership development and the success of young farmers and agribusiness professionals.

“Through this donation and others we will be making to FFA, 4-H and other organizations throughout the summer, we are proud to support America’s next generation of farmers and honor the nation’s agricultural legacy,” Besancon says.

Alliance Tire Americas joined NTPA — the world’s oldest and most respected tractor and trailer pulling sanctioning organization — this year as an official sponsor, and was the first major tire partner for the organization.

The next major pulling event Alliance will be supporting is to be held in Chapel Hill, Tenn., on July 18.
