Goodyear Eagle to be OE on Challenger SRT 392

June 5, 2014

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. announced that its Eagle RS-A2 will be the OE fitment on the recently unveiled and scheduled to be produced this fall 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT 392.

The standard fitment will be Goodyear Eagle RS-A2 tires in a 245/45ZR20 size, with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires as an option for “serious grip and handling,” according to Dodge and SRT engineers.

The car’s performance-designed exterior maintains the Challenger’s original muscle car heritage while the all-new, driver-focused cockpit is intended for true performance enthusiasts “with stunning style, premium materials, world-class craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology.”

Goodyear’s Eagle RS-A2 features all-season, high-performance traction with a unique asymmetric tread design. The available Eagle F1 Supercar tire is a race-inspired model that helps enhance a car’s dry traction and cornering grip through the use of large tread blocks and a unique tread rubber compound.

“With every Eagle tire, Goodyear strives to deliver superior performance by enabling the massive power generated by top performing automobiles to be transferred to the road in an optimal manner,” said Tara Foote, Goodyear brand manager.

“Key original equipment fitments, such as this selection, help to further Goodyear's position as a brand of choice for those who desire premium performance tires.”

Goodyear says its tires are on more new vehicles in North America than any other brand, including many from Acura, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Honda, Infiniti, Jeep, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche, Scion, Subaru, Toyota and Volkswagen.
