Raybesto Brakes help Denny Hamlin earn his first Talladega victory

May 5, 2014

Denny Hamlin overtook Kevin Harvick coming to the white flag to win the Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway. In his No. 11 FedEx Toyota... and under the stopping power of Raybestos brakes... Hamlin earned his first points-paying win at a restrictor-plate track. This virtually ensures him a berth into the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

“We started the season strong at Daytona, and we knew it was just a matter of time before we struck it big,” said Darian Grubb, crew chief for Denny Hamlin. “Things got a little tense in the middle of the race, but Denny was able to avoid the wreck. Smart driving and strategic braking really paid off today.”

The Raybestos Racing brake package, used by NASCAR teams like Joe Gibbs Racing, combines ample stopping power with a considerable weight savings advantage on tracks like Talladega’s 2.66-mile Superspeedway.

The lessons learned on tracks like Talladega are continually translated into product improvements across the entire Raybestos product line, which includes racing, street performance, police patrol/pursuit vehicles and heavy-duty trucks.
