Share your Mustang story at Nitto’s new website

April 30, 2014

Nitto Tire U.S.A. has launched a website that enables everyone to wish the Ford Mustang a happy 50th birthday and share their own pony car stories.

Nitto Tire’s early success in the U.S. is directly tied to the Ford Mustang and its owners’ love of the NT555 performance tire.

Fans of the iconic car can share YouTube videos, upload Mustang images, or write a personalized birthday message directly from the website, HappyBirthdayMustang.com

Once submitted, their tales will become part of the living collage on the website, viewable and shareable by anyone who visits. Mustang fans can also submit content through Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #Mustang50th.

As part of the celebration, Nitto has interviewed dozens of enthusiasts and industry icons and incorporated their stories into the site.

“Nitto’s early success is closely tied to the Ford Mustang and its loyal followers,” says Stephen Leu, assistant manager at Nitto Tire.

“We wanted to celebrate that rich history and give Mustang fans a way to share their stories while learning how the Mustang positively influenced our company.”

There are very few vehicles that have been produced non-stop for 50 years and even fewer that have consistently influenced the lives and culture of so many generations. From the moment it was first introduced at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York, the Mustang began shaping the lives of everyone who laid eyes on it.

Nitto says regardless of whether the experience was from behind the wheel, in the passenger seat, or even from idolizing the car on television or in the movies, nearly everyone has a story to share about the Mustang.

Nitto Tire will also be attending various Ford and Mustang shows around the country this year and will have a video crew on hand to help people share their stories on the website. Look for Nitto and its video crews at the upcoming Mustang Madness show at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles on May 3-4, 2014, as well as videos, pictures and stories from the Fabulous Fords Forever show that took place at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, Calif., on April 27, 2014.
