Continental promotes Roydhouse to commercial post

June 15, 2001

Continental Tire North America Inc. has promoted Tom Roydhouse to senior vice president of its Commercial Division. Roydhouse has been with the company for more than 30 years.

Less than a year ago, Roydhouse replaced Chris Dickson as vice president of sales and marketing for Continental's PLT (Passenger and Light Truck) Division. At the time, he was senior director of commercial sales and marketing.

Earlier this year, however, Tom Reese retired as executive vice president of the Commercial Division, leaving a void in that division.

Mike Barker, who was promoted to senior director of commercial sales and marketing when Roydhouse moved to the retail division, will retain his responsibilities.

Continental Tire has yet to name a new vice president of sales and marketing on the PLT side. The tiremaker's parent company, Continental AG, is the fourth largest tire manufacturer in the world.
