Virginia Automotive Association extends registration

Here is some good news for tire dealers who forgot to sign up for the Virginia Automotive Association (VAA) 2014 Convention & Trade Show: The deadline to sign up has been extended.

Dealers have through March 18 to register for the event, which will be held April 11-14 at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va.

"As we wind down a long, tough winter season, picture spending a beautiful warm spring weekend at one of Virginia's jewels and America's First Resort -- The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va.," says Steve Akridge, executive director of the VAA. "They have given us a fantastic room rate, and all of the new amenities are now open."

By "new amenities," he means the following:

* Canyon Ranch Spa Club;

* Allegheny Springs and Jefferson Pools;

* Cascades Gorge hike;

* gun club sporting clays;

* fly fishing;

* golf on the Cascades Course or Old Course;

* miniature golf on a replica of the Cascades Course.

On Saturday, April 12, the seminars include topics such as complying with Obamacare and an update human resource issues. There also will be a peer-to-peer roundtable discussion on day-to-day business issues.
