Feb. 6, 2014

Discount Tire, the world’s largest tire and wheel retailer, opened an additional tire store in Omaha, Neb., the company’s fourth store opening in six months.

The new store is located at 12140 S. Dodge Rd. The 6,947 square-foot store is the first Discount Tire new-build to open in 2014.

Providing the lowest prices on tires and wheels combined with excellent customer service, Discount Tire says it strives to serve as its customers’ knowledgeable and convenient neighborhood tire retailer.

“Discount Tire is proud to expand within the region and continue providing our customers a needed service for tires in Omaha, Nebraska,” says Neil Warren, store manager of the new store. Warren has been with the company for 23 years.

“As we continue our rapid expansion in the heartland region our main focus is seeking opportunities to serve communities like Omaha,” says Rob Wise, regional vice president for Discount Tire.

“The need for tires is always growing and it is more important than ever for the Omaha community to have a reliable tire expert to educate them about the basics of tire safety.”

The tire retailer started 54 years ago in Ann Arbor, Mich. when founder Bruce Halle had six tires, a portable air tank and a lot of determination. In 2012 the Tire Industry Association (TIA) inducted Halle into the TIA Hall of Fame.

Discount Tire, which is part of the Reinalt-Thomas Corp., ranks No. 1 on the 2013 MTD 100.
