TGI Adds Super-Regional Products to Cosmo Truck Tire Line

Tire Group International (TGI) has added three Cosmo brand commercial truck tires for super-regional applications to its lineup. They include the CT575+, the CT578+ and the CT778+, all of which "blend the durability of a long-haul tire with the casing strength of a regional tire," say TGI officials.

The CT575+ is an all-wheel position product with a five-rib tread design that includes four wide, straight grooves for "excellent handling and stability, along with effective water evacuation and above-average braking performance in both wet and dry conditions."

The CT578+, another all-position tire, features an advanced tread pattern designed to reduce the risk of irregular wear. "This tire excels on wet and dry roads with four grooves that allow for efficient water evacuation and braking performance, without sacrificing handling and stability."

The CT778+ is a drive-position tire that features three rows of tread blocks and a closed shoulder tread that provides long, even wear and enhanced traction.

"Cosmo's three new product lines are manufactured with innovative and proprietary tread patterns designed to enhance performance in key areas, such as durability and safety," say TGI officials. The appearance of the tires also have been enhanced "by indenting the Cosmo and model names in UHP fashion, giving the tires a visual impact that makes them stand out. Additionally, Cosmo incorporated its trademark tiger head, paw print and claw mark onto the tread area. These tires leave an impression wherever they go."

According to Joaquin Gonzalez, Cosmo's president, the company's commercial offering includes 12 different lines and more than 40 SKUs.
