Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) has launched its new LIFTMAX LM 63 tire, which is designed to fit tractors used in industrial and logistics applications, including ports and airports.
“This new product is the perfect combination of some outstanding features: low rolling resistance, reduced vibrations, excellent stability and also a more comfortable drive,” according to BKT officials. “All this is possible thanks to the all-steel casing equipped with multilayer steel belts.”
The tire also provides enhanced resistance to punctures, reduced fuel consumption and extended service life. It is available in size 6.00R9 and size 8.25R15, with more sizes in development.
“This is only the latest in a long series of BKT tires designed and developed for vehicles operating in industrial or multi-sectors which carry out operations involving loading, compacting, building, recycling, logistics, industrial and port handling, (plus) municipal works, excavation, transport and intermodal transport."
BKT reports that it also is expanding its LIFTMAX LM 81 range for forklifts and container handling vehicles. New sizes include 12.00R20, 12.00R24 and 14.00R24.
In addition, the company has added size 18.00x33 to its Container King line, which targets vehicles that lift and handle heavy cargo. And BKT is expanding its RIDEMAX IT 697 range.
