Tirescanner says its sales grew by 400% during the first quarter of 2020.

Company officials credit the increase to “two key factors: mobile installation, enabling a true contactless service,” and the company’s “obsessive approach to delivering excellent customer care.”

“Our business model was developed to deliver mobile and store installations locally and quickly, and because of that our supply chain, retail partnerships and team of customer champions are well placed to deliver when most others cannot,” says Tirescanner CEO Mike Welch.

“Our growth demonstrates that although use of cars may have diminished, there is still a demand out there. Drivers are shopping differently and looking for convenience, service and a safer ways to shop for their tires, as well as great value.”

Tirescanner has added more locations “and has invested in company expansion with the addition of three new senior figures to its ranks,” according to company officials. They include Graeme Bissett, previously chairman at Welch’s previous tire business for 12 years, who will advise the firm’s board on governance, finance and strategic matters; Mark Spence, who will take on the role of vice president of trading; and David Patten, who will lead Tirescanner’s design activities.
