Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) has partially restarted tire production at all of its Indian factories, following dialogue with and approval by the local governments where the plants are located.
BKT officials add that the company "has also restarted supply and delivery to the OEM and aftermarket channels."
The specialty tire manufacturer has implemented the following protocols at its plants, including distancing between workers, the reorgnaization of shifts, use of body temperature sensors, the construction of accommodation for workers, medical checks for all employees and more.
The same protocols have been implemented at BKT's facilities in Europe.
BKT's world headquarters in Mumbai, India, remains closed, "but customer service and sales support have always been operational."
