March 16, 2020

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. and the chapter of the United Steelworkers (USW) representing workers at Cooper’s plant in Findlay, Ohio, have reached a tentative agreement on a new, four-year labor contract.

“Details of the agreement are being withheld pending presentation to USW members,” say Cooper officials. “A ratification vote is expected to take place at the end of this week.”

Cooper’s Findlay plant has the capacity to manufacture 7,000 passenger tires and 16,000 light truck tires per day, according to MTD’s 2020 Facts Issue.
