Yokohama Advan Apex Wins Design Award

Yokohama Tire Corp.’s ultra-high performance Advan Apex tire has won the 2020 iF Design award.

“The Apex, which won in iF Design’s product category, highlight’s Yokohama’s decades-long UHP heritage,” say Yokohama officials. “Developed for the North American market, the Y-rated Apex is available in 44 sizes, ranging from 17- to 20-inch fitments."

“It’s gratifying to the see the Advan Apex win another award,” says Andrew Briggs, Yokohama’s vice president of marketing and product management. “It’s a testament to our new product development, continuous performance improvements and overall quality. We’re honored the judges for iF Design bestowed the Apex with this esteemed award.”  

Candidates for the iF Design award are evaluated based on a number of criteria, including degree of innovation; functionality, value and usability; aesthetic and emotional appeal; social responsibility and production efficiency; and others.

Through March 31, consumers can earn $100 in the form of a Yokohama Visa Prepaid card or a Visa virtual account after purchasing a set of four Apex tires.
