USTMA Predicts Growth in Replacement Tire Market for 2020
Shipments of replacement tires in every category — passenger, light truck and medium truck — are expected to increase in 2020, according to the latest projections by the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association.
Overall shipments — including both replacement and original equipment tires — are expected to go up slightly, by 0.1%, from 332.7 million tires in 2019 to 333.2 million in 2020. But it looks like the OE market is facing another tough year, especially in truck tires.
