Jack’s Tire & Oil to Merge with A&E Tire

Tire dealership merger and acquisition activities continue as Logan, Utah-based Jack’s Tire & Oil Inc., which has 12 locations, has announced that it will merge with A&E Tire Inc., which is based in Denver, Colo., effective April 1.

The resulting entity will have 17 locations and six Michelin retread plants throughout Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Arizona and California, and a combined annual revenue of $150 million, according to Bob Feldbauer, Jack’s Tire president and CEO. It also will operate around 80 road service trucks, he adds.

Jack’s Tire & Oil is the 96th largest independent tire dealership in the United States, according to the 2019 Modern Tire Dealer 100. The company carries Michelin, BFGoodrich, Sumitomo, Uniroyal, Toyo, Kuhmo, Hankook, Continental, Yokohama, Kelly and Goodyear brand tires. A&E Tire carries Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, Continental, Cooper, General, Goodyear, Toyo and Yokohama brand products.

Jack’s Tire & Oil also is ranked 23rd on MTD’s list of the country’s largest retreaders. (A&E Tire occupies the 61st position on that list.)

Earlier this month, Mavis Tire Supply Co. announced that it is acquiring 112 NTB Tire & Service Centers in the Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago and Atlanta markets from TBC Corp.
