Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has named James Kovac vice president of manufacturing for its North American Tire division.
He will supervise operations of Cooper's North American tire plants.
Kovac, who started with Cooper in 1983, most recently served as vice president of the tiremaker's Tupelo, Miss., manufacturing facility.
Combined, Cooper's North American tire plants can produce more than 140,000 passenger, light truck and commercial truck tires a day, according to Modern Tire Dealer data.
