Tim Winkeler Will Lead VIP Tires & Service

Timothy Winkeler is the new president and chief operating officer of Auburn, Maine-based VIP Tires & Service. He also has been appointed to the company's board of directors.

In his new role, Winkeler will be responsible for overseeing all functions at VIP Tires & Service, which has more than 500 employees at 56 outlets in Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Winkeler has been VIP Tires and Service’s chief operating officer since 2013. He joined the company in May 2010 as vice president of merchandising.

John Quirk has transitioned from his position as president and CEO to a new role: chairman and CEO.

Winkeler began his career at Dana Corp. as an engineering manager. He held several positions with Dana, including plant manager of the Oklahoma City Wix Filtration manufacturing plant. He holds an industrial engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma and and master of business administration degree from Oklahoma City University.
