Zhaoqing Junhong Co. Ltd. is recalling certain Antares Comfort A5 tires, size LT 225/75R16 118/116S 10 PR. The potential number of units affected is 1,916.
According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Office of Defects Investigation, the recalled tires “may experience sidewall separation while driving.”
The all-season highway tires were produced the week of May 8, 2016 through May 21, 2016.
The NHTSA Recall ID Number is 17T018.
Zhaoqing will notify owners and dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in November 2017.
