Armstrong Has a New Line and Zeetex Has a New Tire

Nov. 2, 2017

The Armstrong, Zeetex, Accelera and Forceum dealers who gathered in Las Vegas to celebrate the new Armstrong passenger and light truck tire line received a surprise: There’s a new tire in the Zeetex portfolio, too.

Carl Casalbore, president and COO of Armstrong Tire North America, hosted about 170 dealers and their guests during the 2017 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. Armstrong is a subsidiary of Zafco Trading LLC.

The dealers came to the event to mark the new line of Armstrong passenger and light truck tires: Blu-Trac PC, Tru-Trac SU, Tru Trac AT, Blu-Trac HP, and Tru-Trac HT.

The surprise was the introduction of the first all-weather tire to the Zeetex portfolio: ZT 4000 4S.

Both the Armstrong and Zeetex tires are available now, according to Casalbore.

He told Modern Tire Dealer the company “is right now signing dealers” for the new Armstrong passenger and light truck tires.

Demand for Armstrong-branded truck tires, which were introduced about a year-and-a-half ago, has been strong. “We slowed down dealer signup due to volume,” says Casalbore.

The company has two plants in Thailand. One manufactures Armstrong truck tires and the other Armstrong passenger and light tires.

“We want to earn the dealers’ business,” says Casalbore. “We want our dealers to make money, and we want customers to be satisfied.”
