Cooper Previews Discoverer True North Tire at the SEMA Show

Nov. 1, 2017

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has launched its Cooper Discoverer True North tire at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas running now through Nov. 3.

The Discoverer True North is designed to provide a combination of control and handling for confident winter driving. It maintains a tight grip on the road in cold weather conditions and features a pliable tread compound that remains flexible when the temperature drops. These features combine to offer control while maintaining a smooth, quiet and comfortable ride.

“The Discoverer True North wasn’t simply designed with consumers in mind, experienced winter drivers offered input and insights throughout its development process,” says Scott Jamieson, Cooper’s director of product management for North America. “The result is a tire that’s made to perform, doesn’t give up touring tire responsiveness for great winter grip and ensures drivers have confidence on the road through the unpredictable weather conditions that come with winter driving.”

The tire, which has earned Cooper’s Weather-Master certification, is displayed in the company's booth #43019. Cooper will start taking orders for the Discoverer True North in the spring, and it will be available in 17 passenger car sizes in fall 2018.
