Toyo Gives Its High Performance Tire Lineup an Upgrade

Oct. 16, 2017

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. is updating its high performance tire lineup with the Toyo Extensa HP II.

The high performance, all-season tire offers better handling than its predecessor, the Extensa HP, and also offers a comfortable ride with an affordable price, Toyo says. A commissioned third-party test shows the Extensa HP II stops 31 feet shorter in wet conditions than the Extensa HP. (The wet braking performance was compared on like tires in size 215/45R17, going from 60 mph to zero.

The improved all-season traction is a result of a special silica compound combined with a new, unidirectional tread design. The braking performance is enhanced by single-cut and double-cut tapers in the tread blocks. Full depth multi-wave sipes minimize irregular wear for a smooth, quiet ride and improve light snow traction. “With improved performance; improved styling; and a 45,000-mile warranty, the Extensa HP II is a go-to tire for value-minded car owners needing to replace high performance tires,” says Randy Gaetz, senior vice president of sales for Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “Our dealers can also recommend the Extensa HP II with confidence, knowing it is a Toyo tire backed by our No Regrets 45 Day/500 Mile Trial Offer.”

The Extensa HP II is available in more than 50 sizes, from 15- to 20-inches, and in both V and W speed ratings.
