TRIB Reflects on the 'Endless Efforts' of Harvey Brodsky

Sept. 26, 2017

Harvey Brodsky was the managing director of the Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau, also known as TRIB, for nearly 30 years. His death on Sept. 17 at age 81 brought out mini-tributes and sorrowful-but-positive remembrances of Brodsky from people in the retread industry and beyond.

On Monday, Tim BeVier, president of TRIB's board of directors and manager of national account business development at Tech International, sent out condolences on behalf of TRIB.

"We wish to express our sincere sympathy and condolences to the Brodsky family for the recent passing of Harvey Brodsky. Harvey was the former managing director of TRIB and a lifelong supporting advocate to the retread and repair industry. The compassion and energy Harvey gave to defending and bettering the retread industry was always off the chart.

"Harvey’s endless efforts truly helped change the retread industry, bringing awareness to the many benefits of retreading and savings to our society. The industry has lost a great friend and remarkable individual. The industry will continue to benefit from his accomplishments and successes for many years to come.

"He leaves behind his beloved wife, Rona Halpern, who has been battling breast cancer for 15 years. She set up a gofundme account to help pay for Harvey’s medical bills. To donate, click on https://www.gofundme.com/harvey-brodskys-medical-fund."

Sincerely, Tim BeVier, president, board of directors, TRIB
