The Scrap Tire Management Council (STMC) will co-sponsor the third Midwest Regional Scrap Tire Conference June 5-6 in Indianapolis, Ind.
Also hosted by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and the Indiana Department of Commerce, the conference will focus on scrap tire issues in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virgina and Wisconsin.
Sessions on tire-derived fuel, civil engineering applications and ground rubber are part of the agenda. So are presentations on developing a business plan, potential financing sources and transportation issues.
The STMC, part of the Rubber Manufacturers Association, has co-sponsored nine regional conferences, including three in the Midwest, since 1996.
