Plans Are Underway for CITEXPO 2019

Oct. 29, 2018

The 17th annual China International Tire Expo (CITEXPO) will take place August 19-21, 2019, in the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.

The international tire, wheel and related equipment trade fair is open to professionals only. It will host around 300 exhibitors in approximately 35,000 square meters of show space. More than 12,000 professional buyers and visitors are expected.

“Around 50% of our visitors are from over 110 countries, so you can sell to not only the biggest auto market in the world – China, but also pretty much every country in the world, especially emerging markets, such as Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa,” says Sam Lai, international marketing manager of CITEXPO organizer, Reliable International Exhibition Services

CITEXPO organizers note:

  • In 2017, China had 28.88 million new vehicles sales compared to U.S.’s 17.25 million. It represented almost 30% of global sales, which was 97 million. And the average age of a car in China is only 4.4 years, meaning the aftermarket in China will grow rapidly in the coming years. According to reports, the Chinese aftermarket will grow 8.1% per year compared to 1.3% in North American and 1.5% in Europe. It will become a $233 billion market.
  • One of the special aspects of CITEXPO is half of the visitors are from overseas, which makes CITEXPO one of the most international tire and wheel trade shows in the world. CITEXPO also has buyers from all 33 provinces in China, which is very important for foreign manufacturers who are interested in the China market, because different regions have different dynamics, rules and challenges.
  • The number one reason to come to CITEXPO is you can see new brands that you may not otherwise see in any other show, say show organizers. With the scale and state-of-the-art exhibition space of Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center, visitors can see and touch all the products, new and old, from different suppliers under one roof. CITEXPO remains a purely professional trade show and it is not open to the public.
