Oct. 18, 2018

Leeds West Groups (LWG) has acquired and taken over operations of its 100th store.

The group, based in Greenwood Village, Colo., operates in 16 states, primarily under the Midas and Big O Tires franchises from TBC Corp., and also the SpeeDee Oil Change banner. TBC sold SpeeDee to Grease Monkey International Inc. in January 2017.

Leeds West Groups took over operations of its 100th store, in Aurora, Colo., on Oct. 15. It's the company's 30th automotive location in the state. It's operating under the Midas brand.

Judd Shader, CEO of Leeds West, says, “All store openings are exciting, but obviously this location has a very special meaning, and is a special milestone for the company. I could not be more thrilled to announce LWG’s 100th automotive location, and I could not be more ecstatic with LWG’s automotive growth pattern over the last 106 months and our growth objectives over the next 100 months.”

Joshua Weinreich, chairman of the board, says, “We are thrilled with our current growth trajectory and strategy. Our growth over the last 9 years shows our level of commitment to the industry and our chosen brands.”

Leeds West Groups employs more than 850 team-members.

The company has made some big acquisitions in recent years. At the end of 2017 it purchased Auto Systems Experts Inc., which owned 42 Midas locations in six states. In 2013 it acquired 30 Midas corporate-owned stores into franchise locations. At the time it was the largest single Midas purchase in the company's history.
