Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.'s new West Coast distribution center is scheduled to open later this month.
Shipments of Cooper brand tires from the Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.-based facility are tentatively slated to start in April. Shipments of the tiremaker's other brands, plus Pirelli tires, will begin during the second quarter.
The 400,000-square-foot warehouse contains 58 dock doors and will operate five days a week with an anticipated workforce of 24 people, according to Cooper officials.
Mark Hefter, a 33-year Cooper veteran, will manage the facility and its operations.
