Global Rubber Industries Pvt. Ltd. (GRI) has appointed Dr. Mahesha Ranasoma CEO, effective July 23, 2018. "GRI is exceptionally proud to have Dr. Mahesha Ranasoma on our leadership board," says Managing Director Prabhash Subasinghe. "His immense vigor and business acumen will support GRI in exceeding our goals."
Ranasoma served as managing firector of Dipped Products plc for more than eight years. He is also on the board of directors of Hayleys plc. Prior to joining GRI, he served as the country chairman and managing director of Shell Gas Lanka Ltd. and Shell Terminal Lanka Ltd.
Ranasoma has more than six years of research and development experience. As a senior university lecturer he has taught at the Open University of Sri Lanka. He is versed in environmental management and was an active consultant for major private sector and donor funded projects in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka-based GRI is a leading producer of specialty tires with offices in six countries and sales in over 50 countries around the world. The company produces construction, material handling and bias and radial agriculture tires at its state-of-the-art factory in Sri Lanka.
