Big O Tires Store in Arizona Celebrates 25 Years in Business

June 12, 2018

Big O Tires in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., is celebrating its 25th year within the Big O organization. The company has the largest physical footprint of any Big O Tires store in the southwestern U.S., the company reports.

Owner Rick Zirges started with the Havasu location as a tire technician under the previous owner Ken Little in 1993 when the location first opened. After working at the location for several years, Zirges became a partner in 1999 and along with Todd Belote purchased the location in 2008.

“The last 25 years in Havasu representing the Big O Tires brand have been amazing,” said Zirges. “We would not be where we are today without the support from our community and the support from the Big O Tire organization. The commitment and dedication of our team members have enabled us to be a team customers trust in the Havasu community and we are thrilled to celebrate this milestone.” Zirges and Belote expanded the location in 2014.

“Todd and Rick are exemplary franchisees and have grown substantially in their time with the Big O organization,´ said John Kairys, vice president and general manager for Big O Tires. “They started with eight associates in 1993, including Rick, and now employ 34. Their expansion in 2014 and record setting sales is a testament to their dedication. The team’s commitment to exceeding customer expectations is represented in everything that they do. We are both very fortunate and very proud to have them as members of the Big O Tires organization.”

Big O Tires LLC has 449 franchisee-owned stores primarily in 23 western and midwestern United States. It also distributes tires and other automotive service products to associate dealers in Western Canada. It is a subsidiary of TBC Corp.
