Chabill's Celebrates 50 Years, and a New Store

June 7, 2018

Chabill’s Tire Service LLC is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the opening of its 16th store.

The retail store, dba as Chabill Tire and Auto Service, will open at 11860 Airline Highway in Baton Rouge. A ribbon cutting celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on June 12. The day-long event will include  giveaways, free food and cold drinks. Special consumer promotions will run through the end of June, including the chance to win a set of four Michelin tires or Chabill's gift cards.

It's the third Chabill's location in Baton Rouge.

The Chabill's story began in 1968 when Charley Gowland and Billy Parker were approached by BF Goodrich about selling tires in the Morgan City, La., area. The two men not only combined their first names to come up with the “Chabill’s” brand, but they also put together their knowledge of automotive service and business to create the company.

Since its creation, the company has vastly expanded the tire brands it sells, as well as the range of its services. From alignments to oil changes, Chabill’s mechanics can expertly perform many of the tire and auto repair services that keep your car or truck rolling. Chabill’s currently has more than 100 employees at locations in Baton Rouge, Bayou Vista, Boutte, Broussard, Gonzales, Houma, Lafayette, Morgan City, Prairieville, Raceland, Thibodaux and Youngsville. In 2017 the company was tied for the No. 69 spot on the Modern Tire Dealer 100.
