Vipal Takes Fuel Efficient Treads to Latin Tyre Expo

June 4, 2018

Among the highlights for Vipal Rubber Corp. at the Latin Tyre Expo this year is the VT170, a low rolling resistance tread that helps users manage fuel efficiency.

Vipal will display its products in booth No. A501 at the expo, which is designed for the Latin American and Carribbean markets. The event is June 6-8, 2018, at the Atlapa Convention Center in Panama.

The VT170 generates less heat and ensures less wear and tear on the casing, and it also provides good braking performance on wet surfaces and greater abrasion resistance.

The company will also promote the VL110L tread for radial tires and trailer axles. Its features include shoulders designed to reduce lateral drag effects. It also preserves casing integrity due to low rolling resistance and is recommended primarily for long-distance services on paved floors.

Among the Vipal team that will be on hand at the Latin Tyre Expo is Gabriel Fuma, commercial manager for North and Central America; Jean Barros, commercial manager for Mexico and Central America; and Jarry Soriano, sales representative for Central America.

In this edition, Vipal Rubber will also present an overview of the tire retread market in Latin America. “This is the fourth time we will speak at Latin Tyre Expo, a trade show that has contributed to boosting business, but above all, it is also an opportunity to showcase the importance of Vipal Rubber products and the advantages obtained from tire retreading, considering each region's characteristics and needs,” says Barros.

Vipal has three plants in Brazil, and production in one is solely dedicated to export production, including for the North American market. The company has three distribution centers in the U.S., in Los Angeles, Miami and Virginia Beach, Va.
