Hunter Engineering Co. has released WinAlign HD QuickGrip adaptors, which are designed to speed alignment service and prevent rim damage.
Hunter says commercial shops using WinAlign HD and HD QuickGrip adaptors can easily measure all three axles of a heavy-duty vehicle simultaneously. The new adapters feature no metal-to-metal contact, which avoids rim damage.
Proper wheel alignment can increase tire life by 20% and decrease fuel consumption by 2%, according to Hunter. For this reason, many service facilities and fleets routinely check heavy-duty truck wheel alignment readings as part of regular preventative maintenance programs.
