Toledo, Ill.-based Ben Tire Distributors Ltd. recently acquired three TBC Corp.-owned Big O Tire stores in Lexington, Georgetown and Nicholasville, Ky.
The outlets will operate under the new Neal Tire Express Auto Service banner, according to company President Chuck McLuckey. Neal Tire Express Auto Service shops "will offer speed-of-service guarantees, which is what customers in metropolitan markets are after." Most of Ben Tire's stores are in rural areas.
The 40-outlet chain, a longtime TBC customer, also will acquire two more stores, one in Illinois and the other in an unspecified location, next month.
