Kumho Tire USA Inc. has introduced the KLT12e and KRT12 commercial trailer tires to the North American market.
KLT12e
Kumho says the SmartWay-verified KLT12e technology and design features a rib style tread platform with a balanced casing profile to provide reduced rolling resistance for enhanced fuel efficiency and extended mileage performance in long haul applications.
The KLT12e is available now in size 295/75R22.5.
Kumho plans to release the KLT12e in sizes 285/75R24.5, 11R24.5 and 11R22.5 in the third quarter of 2018.
KRT12
Kumho says the new KRT12 is a regional hauling tire which is engineered and designed to enable the tire to handle extreme high scrub conditions and provide enhanced durability with even wear.
The KRT12 is available now in sizes 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5 and 11R24.5.
The company has introduced innovative products in its passenger and light truck lines over the past several years which have performed extremely well in the market, according to Kumho Tire USA President and CEO Harry Choi.
“We determined that it was time to apply the new technology and compounds to our commercial lines,” says Choi. “Fleets and owner-operators value a high performing product that will significantly reduce fuel costs and still provide the durability they require for rough driving conditions and achieve the level of mileage that they expect. We are confident that the KLT12e and KRT12 will exceed these standards.”
Both the KLT12e and KRT12 feature advanced innovative compounds that provide even wear characteristics and run cool for enhanced mileage.
The KLT12e and KRT12 are backed by a six-year, two-retread warranty.
