Falken Offers New Dealer Training Opportunity

Falken Tire Corp. has created an immersive dealer training and ride-and-drive program, Falken Academy.

The program, designed to engage dealers and provide them more education of Falken's products, is based at the company's U.S. headquarters in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. The first class of dealers is attending Falken Academy in February 2018. Dealers will receive both in-classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction over a two-day period. The second day of training will occur at the Auto Club Speedway in nearby Fontana for track driving, as well as Cleghorn Trail, an off-roading point near San Bernardino.

“This is a long-term initiative for Falken Tires,” says Nick Fousekis,director of advertising and promotions. “It is Falken’s goal to have roughly 1,500 guests — retailers, dealers and salespeople — come through Falken Academy this year in three waves — February, June and August — and in a short period become completely immersed in all Falken offers to our customers. “Our prime objective is to give our associates a chance to see the inner workings of our great company, intimately learn our products, truly understand our brand and how to sell it.”

The course is broken down into three sections:

tech – learning how Falken incorporates technology into its products;

track – experiencing Falken products against key competitors; and

trail – testing Falken’s WildPeak off-road tires. Accommodations, including airfare and lodging, are included. Plus, each dealer who participates in Falken Academy 2018 will be entered to win a new Ram 1500 4x4, which will soon feature the Falken WildPeak A/T3WA as original equipment.
