Once again, RNR Tire Express was named the top "Wheels and Tires" franchise on the "Entrepreneur Franchise 500" list. Overall, the Tampa, Fla.-based company ranked 202.
Big O Tires LLC, a franchise operation under the direction of TBC Corp., ranked 250th on the 39th annual list.
"RNR has made tremendous strides as a company by working closely with our franchise partners to influence important brand decisions, leading to our significant growth over the past 15 years," said founder Larry Sutton.
In 2017, the company finished first in the Wheels and Tires category and ranked 126 on the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 list.
Three of the key factors in determining the rankings are the franchise fee, total investment and royalty fees. Unit growth also is a consideration. In 2017, RNR opened its 100th store.
Based in Sarasota, Fla., the milestone outlet was the company's 15th company-owned store. The other 85, under the direction of SPF Mgt. Co. LCC, are franchise operations.
RNR also ranked 29th on Franchise Gator's annual list of the "Top 100 Fastest Growing Franchise Concepts."
