Allied Oil & Supply Inc., a leading Midwest distributor of lubricants and commercial tires, has changed its corporate name. The Omaha, Neb.-based company will now be known as Allied Oil & Tire Co., effective immediately.
The goal of the name change was "to holistically reflect the company’s product and service offerings," according to the company.
Allied’s tire division will cease to be referred to as Allied Tire Co., because the corporate name more closely aligns and strengthens the identity of the primary operating divisions: oil and tires.
“While our company name is changing, all core components of the organization will remain the same, including our superior service and branded products consisting of Allied, Shell, Michelin and others,” says President Steve Phillips.
Since 1958, the family owned company has continuously evolved to better serve its customers across a wide-range of markets, including transportation, construction, passenger car motor oil, industrial, mining and agriculture.
Allied is 34th on Mondern Tire Dealer's list of the 100 largest retreaders in the United States. Its one plant produces 405 truck tires a day.

In addition to Omaha, Allied Oil & Tire has branches in Kansas City and Joplin, Mo.; Des Moines, Iowa; and Sioux Falls, S.D. It also has satellite locations in Waterloo and Sioux City, Iowa.
