TV shows cater to wiper blades and brakes!
Two aftermarket parts manufacturers are hoping television will increase their brand awareness.
Robert Bosch LLC and its ICON beam wiper blades have partnered with Discovery Channel's popular "Storm Chasers" TV series. And Federal-Mogul Inc. will have its global vehicle brake technologies featured on an episode of “World’s Greatest!”

Bosch is launching an advertising campaign for its premium ICON beam wiper blades with the help of "Storm Chasers." A combination of broadcast and digital elements with social media components is intended to drive awareness and first-choice purchasing consideration for Bosch ICON and drive traffic to ICON retailers offering special deals on the product.
Two new 30-second TV spots will feature extreme meteorologist and storm chaser Reed Timmer and his new Dominator 2 armored tornado-chasing vehicle. More than 400 spots will air nationwide on not only "Storm Chasers" but also other Discovery and Science Channel programming from October 2011 through February 2012. An additional 1,400 spots will run on a variety of cable networks in 34 key retail markets.
Other broadcast elements include in-program messaging on "Storm Chasers" and tagged tune-in messages on Discovery Channel. Digital advertising banners will be deployed on Discovery.com as well as on selected weather and auto enthusiast relevant sites.
"Storm Chasers" airs on Discovery Channel on Thursdays at 10 p.m. EST/PST.
Producers of the “World’s Greatest!” television program recently completed an episode featuring Federal-Mogul’s global vehicle brake technologies, including Wagner ThermoQuiet brake pads. The program also will showcase Federal-Mogul’s Ferodo brake parts.
“World’s Greatest!” is a 30-minute show dedicated to highlighting the world’s greatest companies, products, places and people. Produced by How 2 Media, the show can be seen on DirecTV channel 305 and Dish channel 216 as well as on local cable channels.
The program featuring Federal-Mogul and the Wagner and Ferodo brands will appear Nov. 21 and 28, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. ET on DirecTV channel 305 and Dish channel 216 as well as on local cable channels. The show will repeat at 7 a.m. ET on Dec. 5; additional airings will appear throughout December.
