Oct. 18, 2011

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has added a new member to its Uni-Maxx Truck Care on-highway service network: Patriot Farms Flying J. The truck stops are run by Highway Service Ventures, based in Ashland, Va.

Three Patriot Farms Flying J locations will join the network. They are located in Ruther Glen, Va.; Elkton, Md.; and Florence, S.C., on Interstate 95, a major north-to-south corridor that runs from Maine to Florida.

Highway Service Ventures joins Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems LLC., a Goodyear subsidiary, and Boss Truck Shops Inc., a subsidiary of Bosselman Inc., as Uni-Maxx members. The three truck stops gives the network 75 locations, according to Clint Schrock, Goodyear’s director of on-highway operations.

“Uni-Maxx is dedicated to establishing a seamless, nationwide network of on-highway truck service shops that provide consistent products and services with the utmost professionalism. Highway Service Ventures shares this vision, and with its longstanding track record of consistency and excellence, is a perfect fit for the Uni-Maxx network.”

“Over-the-road trucking fleets and owner-operators tell us there is a strong need in the marketplace for a single-source supplier that can deliver the latest in products and services, including roadside truck assistance, warranty support, and more -- all in a consistent, professional manner,” says Roger Cole, president of Highway Service Ventures.
