The Timken Co. has received the 2011 Vendor of the Year award from the National Pronto Association, one of the country’s largest auto parts buying groups. Timken supplies Pronto with a full line of automotive aftermarket products, including Timken hub units, bearings, grease and seals.
“It is a great honor to be recognized by the National Pronto members with the Vendor of the Year award, particularly when we are compared to such a strong supplier peer group," says Thomas Tecklenburg, director of the automotive aftermarket.
“The quality products and value-added services Timken provides have earned the respect of our membership,” adds Michael Mohler, vice president of the National Pronto Association.
Timken was graded on its performance in multiple areas, including marketing, sales force, technology, staffing, and supplying products that meet or exceed expectations. The winning supplier was selected based on Pronto member nominations and voting.
