Raw material producers provide the supplies. Tire makers develop, manufacture and ship the tires. However, no one is more important to the consumer than the independent tire dealer.
The dealer not only houses and sell tires needed by consumers (wholesale tire dealers are independents, too), but also is the deciding factor in what they buy 85% of the time. And more than 60% of the 33,000 independent tire dealers are single-store owners.
