Nick Mitsos, CEO and president of Mountain View Tire and Service Inc. in Southern California, is Modern Tire Dealer magazine’s 2011 Tire Dealer of the Year.
Mitsos was chosen to receive the tire industry’s most prestigious award from more than 33,000 eligible independent tire dealers throughout North America.
Mitsos, MTD’s 19th Tire Dealer of the Year, was selected by a panel of independent judges, who based their decision on his business success, marketing skills, management skills, industry knowledge and community involvement.
"Nick Mitsos runs an outstanding dealership, and we’re honored to announce him as our Tire Dealer of the Year," says MTD Publisher Greg Smith.
As part of the award, MTD, in conjunction with Mountain View Tire and Service's suppliers, will donate more than $5,000 in Mitsos' name to St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church in Pasadena, Calif., the charity of his choice.
Mitsos' focus on customer service has resulted in a $45 million operation in Southern California with 29 stores (plus two on the way) and 275 employees.
