Commercial optimism at ACT seminar

Sept. 19, 2011

ACT Research Co. (ACT) says that despite a softening economy, participants at its recent seminar remained optimistic about the commercial vehicle and transportation industries. ACT held its 45th seminar Sept. 12-14 in Columbus, Ind.

The event was attended by more than 100 companies. Some attendees went on to tour a large package consolidation hub and intermodal facilities in Chicago.

ACT says attendees for the most part indicated that their businesses were on solid footing, and they remained confident despite economic uncertainty.

“There is concern about the economy,” says Ken Vieth, ACT’s senior partner and general manager. “The impression that we got from attendees is that we will get through this period of uncertainty. Those in the intermodal business, especially, are still quite positive.”

ACT holds two seminars each year for its Outlook subscribers. The next seminar, #46, will be held March 20-22, 2012. For more information visit http://www.actresearch.net.
