Wholesale Tire Distributors, based in Vaughn, Ontario, Canada, has increased the size and scope of its operations. The company has acquired a distribution center in Hamilton, Ontario.
“The new facility not only gives us a much larger distribution footprint in our market, it is vital infrastructure that will help us grow our service across the province,” explains Wholesale Tire vice president Jonathon Karelse.
The acquisition of the 50,000-sq.-ft. warehouse will give Wholesale Tire a second distribution point in the busy Ontario market to service independent tire retailers and commercial customers. The warehouse will be supported by a full complement of distribution and sales staff when it becomes operational on Sept. 12, 2011.
Wholesale Tire is one of the largest tire distributors in the Greater Toronto Area. Its new facility in Hamilton provides the company with a platform to expand its service levels west of metropolitan Toronto.
The Hamilton location augments the 56,000-sq.-ft. Wholesale Tire Distributors center in Vaughn, Ontario.
Established in 1994, Wholesale Tire is an Ontario-based distributor of quality tire lines for independent tire retailers, new car dealers and corporate fleet customers. Wholesale Tire is privately owned and is directly affiliated with four Tire Depot retail outlets and 13 Tire Choice associate stores serving central Ontario.
