Kumho launches Ecsta 4X UHP tire

Aug. 19, 2011

Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. debuts the all-season, affordable Ultra-High Performance (UHP) Ecsta 4X. Kumho says the tire uses the latest developments in Kumho’s DNA of UHP technology and brings a higher level of versatility and performance to the UHP all-season segment.

Kumho designed the Ecsta 4X to provide strong performance for today’s vehicles with higher horsepower and better handling requirements. These include cars like Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Mazda 6, which all use higher speed rated tires and demand versatility. They are used to get to work, run errands and go shopping in all types of weather.

Kumho says that the Ecsta 4X’s all-season, class-leading combination of dry, wet and light snow prowess is derived from multiple years of research, development and testing. Kumho’s goal was to make a UHP, all-season tire that would stand apart from the competition in any weather – rain, shine or even light snow. Ecsta 4X is meant to meet the demands of everyday driving in any weather, while maintaining top tier performance and handling.

Ecsta 4X will be available in 48 sizes, ranging in rim diameter from 15-20-inches, with expanded 19-inch sizes to meet the growing market demand. It comes with a 40,000 mile limited treadwear warranty and Kumho’s road hazard coverage.

Kumho Tire is kicking off the Ecsta 4X’s arrival by offering a $50 mail-in rebate with the purchase of four tires between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30, 2011. Consumers will be able to visit the soon to be launched, redesigned Kumho Tire website at www.KumhoTireUSA.com to obtain the rebate form.
