Goodyear promotes Fioroni to global post

July 31, 2011

Roberto Fioroni was named vice president and general auditor of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., effective August 1. He will report to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Darren Wells.

Fioroni will replace Rich Pegher, who has decided to leave the company "to pursue other opportunities," according to Goodyear.

Fioroni has been finance director for the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) business unit since 2009.

"Roberto brings a strong audit background as well as experience as a leader in one of our strongest businesses to the general auditor role," says Wells. "Ronn Archer, finance director for EEMEA, will take over Roberto's responsibility on an interim basis until a successor is named."

Prior to joining Goodyear, Fioroni spent 12 years at General Electric Co., where he earned a Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Curt Andersson, president of Goodyear's North American Tire business unit, also is a former GE employee.
