Order Reprints

ITR USA Inc. is recalling certain Negotiator Commercial H/T tires produced by China-based Shandong Yongtai Chemical Group Co. Ltd. from April 2009 through May 2011. The potential number of units affected is 51,003.

The tire sizes being voluntarily recalled are LT265/75R16 and LT235/85R16.

"Some of the subject tires experience blistering or bubbles on the tire's sidewall," said the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), through its Office of Defects Investigation, in a recall notice. "These tires fail to conform to the requirements Of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 139, 'New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles.'

"This condition may result in a sudden loss of tire pressure, increasing the risk of tire failure and a crash."

ITR USA,, an importer which does business as ITA, is in the process of determining the remedy plan for this campaign. The safety recall is expected to begin during July 2011. Owners may contact ITR USA at (818) 715-7080.
