Desser Tire & Rubber Co. Inc. has been appointed by Dunlop Aircraft Tyres Ltd. as a new tire distributor for the North and South American market.
Desser Tire & Rubber and its affiliate retread repair station, Aero Wheel and Brake Service Corp., will provide Dunlop with new aircraft tire distribution and retreading services in the Americas.
Desser/Aero Wheel and Brake Service Corp. is one of only two privately held high speed aircraft tire retreaders in the U.S., the company notes. It holds FAA and EASA approvals for high speed aircraft tire retreading and wheel and brake services.
The company retreads more than 20,000 tires per year, is a leading distributor of new aircraft tires and is an OEM aircraft tire and tube manufacturer. It does business in more than 100 countries and has facilities in Los Angeles, Calif., and Memphis, Tenn.
