Tennessee association plans convention

The Tennessee Tire Dealers Association (TTDA) will hold its annual convention Aug. 12-13, 2011, at the Nashville Hilton Downtown in Nashville, Tenn.

Kicking off the convention will be Tennessee Speaker of the House Beth Harwell, Representative Jimmy Matlock and Representative Ryan Williams who will offer a legislative update focusing on the small business owner.

Educational programs offered during the convention include “How to prepare for bottom line profits in the future” presented by Stu Zurcher, founder and co-owner of Dealer Strategic Planning Inc.; “They found you. Now what? -- Converting Web surfers to tire customers” presented by Molly Reese, director of Web applications at TCS Technologies; and “Making customer service a part of your brand” by Kevin Rohlwing, senior vice president of training for the Tire Industry Association (TIA).  

Wayne Croswell, TIA past president (2009-2020) and president and CEO of WECnology LLC, will be giving the luncheon keynote address on “The Tire Industry Association… working for you!”

Also included will be a welcome reception, tabletop exhibitions, an industry round table discussion, Hall of Fame banquet, a golf tournament at the Hermitage Golf Course and more.

“This is a once a year opportunity for tire dealer and suppliers from Tennessee to network and share their experiences, and for them to gain exposure to new ideas, techniques and information,” the association says.
